Potato – 3
Onion – 1
Green chilli – 2
Ginger – 1 small piece
Besan ( gram flour) – 1tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Dry red chilli
Heat the pressure cooker pan . Add oil . Add ingredients under tempering . Add onion , green chilli, ginger saute till onion becomes translucent.
Add vegetables. Add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder . Add water to cook. Add salt as required . Pressure cook for 3 whistles.
After opening the pressure pan , bring the curry to boil . Add besan and turmeric powder mixed in 1/4 cup of water. Let it simmer for a while . Add a few drops of coconut oil . Serve with puri or roti .
PS: In the authentic method you have to boil and mash potatoes. As I am very lazy when it comes to peeling boiled potatoes I went with this method. Nobody at home fancies Puri. So Chapathi masala it is .
